In implementation of Plan No. 213/TB-VQGCB dated March 24, 2025, regarding the organization of activities for the Cat Ba Archipelago Biosphere Reserve in 2025, Cat Ba National Park—acting as the Standing Agency of the Biosphere Reserve—coordinated with local primary, secondary, and high schools in Cat Hai District, as well as environmental experts, scholars, and university students (from Hanoi National University of Education; VNU University of Science; VNU Central Institute for Natural Resources and Environmental Studies; Vietnam National University of Forestry; Tay Bac University, etc.). On May 28, Cat Ba National Park solemnly organized extracurricular activities aimed at raising environmental protection awareness among students.
The program included the following key activities:
-
A seminar on nature conservation linked with sustainable development and the promotion of the heritage values of the Cat Ba Archipelago Biosphere Reserve.
-
A campaign launch for environmental action across the school system (including primary, secondary, high schools, universities, and colleges nationwide).
The 2025 seminar, rally, and environmental action campaign at the Cat Ba Archipelago Biosphere Reserve aimed to raise awareness among the community—particularly students, tourists, and the younger generation—about the vital role of environmental protection and the preservation of Cat Ba’s unique forest-marine ecosystems.
Through communication efforts, knowledge sharing, and practical actions, the program contributed to spreading the message of “green living and responsible living with nature,” while empowering the community in the management and protection of this precious natural heritage.
